Brothers and sisters,
Just want to update all of our members. As of now NJT has made no attempt to settle any of the issues I mentioned in my previous letters. I personally will continue to not work relief days, take move ups, cross divisions or train letp students. I feel its is time to demand equal pay for equal work. MNR, LIRR and Amtrak make significantly more per hour than NJT engineers. I would remind everyone that the overtime you are enjoying right now will be coming to an end. NJT will most likely over hire and flood the engineers roster. This is why it is most important to increase our hourly rate.
I have approached NJT and requested to start negotiations, but I have not been given a date as of yet. Now is the time and I do not want to waste the opportunity. I need everyones support. There is strength in unity!
