Red Shirt Wednesday has been resurrected. In the early 1990’s, while in heated contract negotiations, with threats of strike and jail time, the BLET created a solidarity day by wearing red shirts every Wednesday. Now, after 20 years, Brother Jim Kelton (bottom left) has taken it upon himself to resurrect it. Jim placed an order for over 150 shirts. Some were accounted for and some not. They are being delivered to the brothers and sisters as I write this. Due to the overwhelming response, a second order will go out soon. An email address (redshirtwed@gmail.com) has been created so you can check to see if your previously requested shirt is on hand or back order, or just to order new shirts.
I would like to publicly say thank you to Brother Jim, for all the hard work he has done and will do, in this endeavor.
In solidarity,
Dave Decker
