Attention Brothers and Sisters
Njt has chosen to violate our CBA once again. They are refusing to pay the 017 claims. If you do anything other than your regular scheduled assignment you must submit a penalty time card code 017 for 8 hours pay. This should not be confused with an 011 irregular service at the end of assignment. If you are not sure contact your local chairman for guidance.
I have been contacted by several members that the work load they have been required to endure is becoming a safety issue. We have many members who are working on 4 hours sleep per night. I have notified NJT of this two weeks ago and still have not recieved a response. I would like to remind everyone that although you are required to work extra trains (up to 12 hours). You are not required to work relief days or take move ups.
Sincerely;
James P. Brown
