Brother Engineer Passes

05/12/2016 By GCA

It is with deep regret that I inform you of the passing of Brother Richard T. Ulis. Brother Rich was involved in an auto accident on the morning of May 11, 2016 a did not survive.

Rich was adored by his wife Margaret Ulis and admired by his four beautiful daughters; Stephanie, Christina, Adrianne and Juliana. Brother Rich started his railroad career as a Fireman for Conrail in the 1980’s. He went on to successfully complete the Engineer Training Program and was promoted to Locomotive Engineer. He came to New Jersey Transit on December 26, 1985 and spent the next 30 years as a dedicated Locomotive Engineer.

When Rich was not operating trains he enjoyed refurbishing antique cars, Harley Davidson Motorcycles and was an avid supporter of Donald Trump. He was an excellent cook who loved to grill, was very handy, and could never say no to his daughters.

Brother Rich you will be missed very much by all, may you rest in peace.
