If you are not already aware, as of today August 16, 2016 medical coverage reflected in the current collective bargaining agreement (CBA) goes into effect.
If you have changed plans and have not already received your new ID card from BCBS, and have an upcoming medical appointment, you can do one of the following:
- you can go online as a member and download a temporary card from the Horizon site www.horizonblue.com/njtransit– this is preferred
- you can contact Amy Ringen in our benefits dept. (973) 378-6030 and she can give you your information via email or over the phone (she can do a screen shot from her system of your ID and enrollment info)
(note) For the above option, some physicians will not take the information this way and want to see a card but she has found many that do.
The online site provides a lot of great information to the member on services, cost, etc. as well as the temp ID card.
